TREAD LIGHTLY
ALL OF US WHO VISIT AFRICA MUST
CHOOSE OUR EXPERIENCES WISELY
AND WITH SENSITIVITY TO OUR LEGACY
Conservation is about awareness. Africa as a tourist destination is growing rapidly. The responsibility for Africa and its world heritage goes deeper than the governments of individual countries. All of us who visit Africa must choose our experiences wisely and with sensitivity to our legacy. We need to tread very lightly on this unique landscape and minimize all impact. Naturally, tourism has a tremendous influence on Africa’s natural resources and cultural heritage. There is inevitably a point where we, as tourists, erode what we have come to see and experience. However there is also a point where tourism can actually help preserve and protect the wildlife and the environment.
Big cats, rhinos and elephant numbers are plummeting. Wildlife conservation and conservation-led tourism are vital for Africa’s future and the prosperity of its people.
Stars of Africa is firmly committed to only working with partners who actively contribute to making a sustainable difference to local communities and to protecting the environment and wildlife.
Our goal is to bring our guests on safari in ways that benefit Africa in the long term. We therefore actively support the efforts of organizations that are committed to the urgent task of conservation in Africa. Many of our clients express an interest in contributing towards such initiatives, and it gives us great pleasure in being able to facilitate this.
