Dining at One&Only Cape Town is a pure delight with two of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants. Legendary Michelin-starred world-class master chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa brings his culinary wizardry to Nobu – his first-ever restaurant in Africa. Nobu gives classical Japanese cuisine a contemporary twist. Diners can indulge in fresh South African seafood and indigenous spices in mesmerizing dishes
Local celebrity chef Reuben Riffel recently opened Reuben’s. Riffel rose to fame when his first restaurant, Reuben’s, opened to much acclaim in the historical town of Franschhoek in 2004. It has since won the coveted Eat Out ’Restaurant of the Year’ and ’Chef of the Year’ awards.
Both dynamic restaurants are connected by Vista Bar & Lounge in the very heart of the resort with commanding views of Table Mountain. Moored in the Waterfront Marina, a Catamaran accommodating up to 35 passengers or a motorized yacht accommodating up to 20 passengers, at an additional premium rate, is available for one hour, three hours or day trips. The city is a rare cultural gem, resulting from the amalgamation of Indonesian, French, Dutch, British and German settlers, the local Bushman and Hottentot tribes and the Bantu tribes from the north.
The impressive presence of Table Mountain, flanked by the legendary Devil’s Peak and historical Signal Hill, stands proudly above the city. Beautiful white sandy beaches along a peaceful coastline frame the Cape Peninsula, which is famed for it’s unique floral kingdom, bountiful rivers, marshlands and dams and magnificent countryside. Boulders Beach is a perfect place to photograph African penguins in their natural habitat. The Kirstenbosch botanic gardens is perfect for macro photography of African flowers.
